Proximity of Homes to Amenities

The degree to which residential units are in proximity to amenities is a measure of how liveable Surrey's neighbourhoods are. All households need access to amenities such as grocery stores, retail and parks, and many households desire to be close to transit and schools. Being within a short walk (generally 400 meters) of amenities increases the likelihood and convenience of using them and encourages residents to get more daily exercise, save money on gas and car maintenance, and reduce their environmental impact.
